Day 1: Guwahati / Gauhati

Land Guwahati airport
Welcome to your "Assam & Meghalaya Delight Tour"
Vardhman's representative will meet & greet you & then transfer
to your hotel. Fresh up & then proceed to visit Gauhati/Guwahati.
The important tourists attractions in and around the city are Kamakhya Temple,
Navagraha Temple, Tirupati Balaji Temple, State Museum, Guwahati Planetarium
and Dighalipukhuri.
OPTIONAL ACTIVITY: Evening enjoy River Cruise on the mighty Brahmaputra
is a wonderful opportunity to get a feel of this legendry river.

Day 2: Guwahati -Kaziranga National Park [National Park is open from
First week November to Mid March.]-Guwahati
Day free to explore Kaziranga National Park which covers an area of
approximately 430-sq-kms with its swamps and tall thickets of elephant grass
making it the ideal habitat for the Indian One-Horned Rhino. Globally recognized
as a premier wildlife habitat. UNESCO declared it as a World Heritage Site
in 1985. The park is covered by tall wild grasses, but the there are many
open areas of water-meadow where Rhinos, Elephants, Deer, Wild boar and
numerous species of water birds can easily be spotted.
OPTIONAL ACTIVITY: Enjoy Elephant ride, Jeep Safari inside the park.

Day 3: Guwahati -Cherrapunjee/ Charrapunji -Shillong
This morning leave for Shillong. On the way visit Cherrapunjee. It is
credited as being the wettest place on Earth. Continue drive to Shillong.
The beautiful waterfall Noh-ka-likai is at Cherrapunjee. Reach & check
into your hotel. Shillong- The 'Scotland of the East' is the capital of
Meghalaya, differs from other hill stations of northeast in some ways. It
is at the altitude of 1496 meters above sea level.

Day 4: Shillong
Full day city tour of Shillong.
Visit Ward's Lake, popular tourist spots and adjacent to the lake is the
Botanical Garden and Botanical Museum. The State Museum which exhibits the
anthropological and cultural life of Meghalaya. The Butterfly Museum is
worth visiting as it has an excellent collection of these winged beauties,
many of which are facing extinction. Shillong Peak is believed to be the
adobe of a powerful deity known as "U LEI SHYLLONG"' meaning Shyllong
god. Elephant Falls, lies on the way to Cherrapunjee. The Don Bosco Centre
of Indigenous Cultures, state-of-the-art museum located at Mawlai, Shillong.

Day 5: Shillong -Guwahati
This morning drive back to Guwahati airport to board flight for your
onward destination with sweet and unforgettable memories of your tour escorted
