Day 1: Guwahati / Gauhati Begin your tour Land Guwahati airport Welcome to your "Assam Wildlife Tour" Vardhman's representative will meet & greet you & then transfer to your hotel. Fresh up & then proceed to visit Gauhati/Guwahati. The important tourists attractions in and around the city are Kamakhya Temple, Navagraha Temple, Tirupati Balaji Temple, State Museum, Guwahati Planetarium and Dighalipukhuri. Overnight: Hotel Day 2: Guwahati - Kaziranga National Park [ Remains Open from First Week November to Early April ] This morning drive to Kaziranga. Reach & check into your hotel. Rest of the day free to explore Kaziranga National Park. Kaziranga National Park is 470 square miles, centering on bottomlands covered by elephant grass savannahs. In the hills and along the small streams, dense forests grow with epiphytic orchids and ferns jutting from the trunks and branches of the great trees. Kaziranga was set aside to protect the great one-horned Asian rhinoceros. It is estimated that there are now less than 1,400 of these great beasts left in the wild, and more are found here than anywhere else. The thrill of breaking into a clearing on elephant -back and coming to within a few yards of one of these gray armored hulks is truly exhilarating. Wild Asian elephant herds are present within the grasslands of the park, as are large herds of barasingha, hog deer, and wild Asian buffalo. Bird Life is also very distinct and colorful such as rose breasted Parakeet, Kalij Pheasant, emerald dove, Imperial Pigeon, swamp francolin are come of the birds. OPTIONAL ACTIVITY: Enjoy Elephant Ride, Jeep Safari inside the Park. Overnight: Hotel Day 3: Kaziranga National Park Spend the day at the national park where you can see some of the rare species. Here you will find the Oriental Honey Buzzard, Black-Shouldered Kite, Black Kite, Brahminy Kite, Pallas's Fishing Eagle, White Tailed Eagle, Grey-Headed Fishing Eagle, Himalayan Griffon, etc. Huge numbers of migratory birds descend on the parks lakes and marshy areas during winters, including Greylag Geese, Bar-Headed Geese, Ruddy Shelduck, Gadwall, Falcated Duck, Red-Crested Pochard and Northern Shoveller. OPTIONAL ACTIVITY: Enjoy Elephant ride, Jeep Safari inside the park. Also visit the Tea Garden and walk though the Assames Village and see some silk weaving and silk moths. Overnight: Hotel Day 4: Kaziranga - Nameri National Park [remains open from First week November to early April] In morning drive to Nameri National Park located on the foothills of Arunachal Pradesh. Upon arrival you will check into the hotel. Fresh up & then explore Nameri National park. Nameri National Park covers an area of 200 Sq. Kms. With river Jia Bhoroli bifurcating the park, it is the most scenic of all the national parks of Assam. Its in the eastern border of Assam in the valley and mountainous Arunachal Pradesh, Nameri is home to some of the endangered species like white winged wood duck, Sloth Bear, Tiger Leopard, Clouded Leopard, Sambar, Gaur, Indian Wild Dog, four varieties of Hornbill and many other winged species. OPTIONAL ACTIVITY: Enjoy Various Activities like Elephant ride, Angling (tag the fish and throw them back), bird watching. Overnight: Hotel Day 5: Nameri National Park Explore Manas National Park. Overnight: Hotel Day 6: Nameri National Park -Manas National Park [remains open from First week November to early April] On day 6 of your tour transfer to UNESCO World Heritage Site and Project Tiger Manas NP which is a bio sphere reserve. Reach & check into your hotel. Rest of the day free to explore Manas NP. Manas National Park is one of the most fascinating National Parks in India and the home to some rare mammals like the Golden Langur, Hispid Hare and the Pygmy Hog. The Golden Langur, a blond species of the Langurs is more common in forests on the Bhutanese side .The Hispid Hare or Assamese Rabbit is darker brown than the Black- Napped Hare, and is covered in coarse bristly hair. OPTIONAL ACTIVITY: Enjoy various activities such as Elephant ride, Nature walk, Jeep Safari, river rafting ride on Manas River from Mathanguri ending 25 km downstream at Bansbari inside the park, Tribal Dance performance by local tribe in the evening. Overnight: Hotel Day 7: Manas National Park Explore Manas National Park.
