Thanks for getting in touch. I was actually about to write you with feedback about the trip - what a coincidence! We had a great time on the tour, and overall, we were very happy with everything. I would definitely recommend Vardhman Vacations to a friend (and get in touch next time I'm going to India). Our driver was great, the hotels were well chosen (we especially liked the one in Delhi - Palace Heights), and we felt like we got to see the major sites in the various cities.
The only things that were less-than-perfect, that you might want to know about, were our guide in Delhi and the hotel in Agra. Our Delhi guide was trying to cut our tour short (I think he wanted to go home), and was trying to convince us not to see various sites ("Humayun's Tomb isn't worth the admission. It's just a tomb in a room"), for some we insisted (Humayun's Tomb was most people's favorite site in Delhi), but others we didn't see (Gandhi's cremation site) or drove by (Qutab Minar). The guides in the other cities were much better and much more enthusiastic. Our Agra hotel was that new Siris18, which was nice, but didn't have any heat (we asked for extra blankets instead) - I wouldn't recommend using it in winter, but I imagine it would be great at another time of year.
Thanks again for a great tour and I'll definitely be in touch next time I need a tour in India - I'd love to come back and see more of the country. I wish you all the best for 2009!

I am Mrs. Carranza, do you remember me ? I live in Mexico.
We arranged a trip with you last year, my sister, my son Carlo (Budhist monk) and me.
He is planning to go back to India with some students of our Meditation Centers, so he will like to plan with you a nice and not expensive trip to the Buddhist places we visited.
It must be about 2 weeks of traveling. Fly back from Khatmandú to New Delhi.
He will need a minibus for about 15 people, he will be the guide. So it will be enough with the bus driver in order to have low costs.

This time I am not going, but I can help both organize it, giving some opinion about the hotels we were and so on.

We are now back home after our Tiger Safari. I would like to thank you and your staff for arranging this holiday for us. The arrangements were very good, the Tiger Trails and Wild Chalet Lodges were excellent, the service and food in these lodges were great.

Although we only had two full days on safari we saw three tigers in Tiger Trails and one in Whild Chalet. It was amazing as was all the other wildlife we saw.The overnight train journeys were an experience!!!!!!!

When we return to India we will most certainly book with you again. Once again thank you and your staff for a well planned short holiday and we would have no hesitation in recommending you to anyone who wanted to holiday in

We have been meaning to contact you regarding our Indian holiday.
Firstly we would like to compliment your company on the organisation and documentation of our tour - it was excellent. The vouchers, train and airline tickets etc and selection of hotels made for an easy to manage holiday. We very much enjoyed all the places we visited and the guides generally speaking were most interesting.

One comment we would like to make is that on long car journeys such as we had to make it would have improved our comfort if the vehicles had been more modern. We think that Europeans are probably accustomed to more comfortable travel than we experienced. We realise that the roads are very bad in parts and would seem to justify more comfortable vehicles. We would like to add that we thought Jitender our driver for most of the time was very caring and thoughtful at all times and we were so sorry that he had to contend with a breakdown and a puncture and had to send us on to Shimla in another car.

Hi Sarita,

I have been meaning to write and thank you, but have been flat out at work since returning, so I am glad that you have nudged me into this with your e mail. Thank you very much for the great trip. We got an awful lot out of it. What an incredible country you live in!

The tour itself was very well organized. Sanjay the driver was fantastic. We feel very lucky that you provided such a professional man. Very impressive! The hotel accommodation was also really good, and overall we were impressed with this aspect of the tour.

The only part that was not quite as smooth was the Varanassi stage. We felt a little lost at the train station. We could have missed the train completely, as we were waiting on the wrong platform. Luckily just at the last minute and purely by luck, we discovered our mistake, and all ended well. Also we were unsure where to get off the train, but this proved to be less of a problem. When we arrived at Varanasi we could not find the new driver. We were apparently waiting in the wrong place for him. More instructions may have been useful here. Then upon arriving at the hotel after getting not too much sleep on the train, we had to wait in the reception area for 6 hours until our room became available. I think I would have rather been given the option to book 2 nights rather than put up with the long wait. Probably an English speaking driverwould have helped in Varanassi also.

However, as I said earlier a great trip! I am really pleased that we found your company. You guys did a great job and I am very grateful to you and your team. I would certainly recommend you. We would like to express our warmest thanks to you both for a wonderful and truly memorable trip through Rajasthan, Agra and Kanha. Your organisation was superb: our air and rail bookings were all in order, our accommodation
bookings were perfect and there was always someone to meet us as arranged.Despite our having postponed the day before we were due to depart SouthAfrica in November, you reinstated all our arrangements quite smoothly, and
we sincerely appreciate your time and trouble.

A representative always met or phoned us to advise times of sightseeing tours. Jacky (spelling?) (Udaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer) was a very good and careful driver, although his English was limited. I am sure this will improve with time. When we had a puncture, he speedily and efficiently changed the wheel. Sanjay was a true gentleman, punctual, courteous and considerate and a very good driver too. We really appreciated having him as our driver from Jodhpur to Jaipur to Ranthambore and up to Agra.

We feel the following feedback may be of interest to you:

Imperial Hotel, Delhi
excellent; smooth and rapid check-in, beautiful room, delicious breakfast; we loved exploring the corridors and enjoying the exquisite art.

Lake Palace Hotel, Udaipur
a dream come true! The view from our window of the City Palace was breathtaking. We loved it! Ratan Vilas, Jodhpur - a real gem! A lovely family home, set well back from the road, with 21 spotlessly clean and charming rooms with interesting historical photos - ours opened on to a peaceful courtyard. We enjoyed chatting to Mr Singh, the owner, as
well as other guests, which you often don't get a chance to do in bigger hotels. Dinner was excellent. Location is also very good. Well worth using for guests who want a more personal stay. Excellent value for money.

Hotel Victoria, Jaisalmer
delightful! The manager, Susil, was so welcoming and treated us so well with cups of chai on the roof, and freshly squeezed orange juice and delicious banana and honey pancakes for breakfast. Our room was lovely with a beautiful
bathroom and we loved staying in the fort and watching the sunset and activity at the market below.

Balsamand Garden Retreat, Jodhpur
very pleasant room. We loved walking round the beautiful and well-maintained gardens.

Rambagh Palace, Jaipur
what a magnificent hotel! We loved the tour of the hotel (and glass of champagne in the Polo Bar afterwards), our walk round the exquisite gardens and a swim in Maharani Gayatri Devi's indoor pool! A very special place.

Khem Villas, Ranthambore
very peaceful and tastefully decorated.Excellent vegetarian food; every little detail thought of - hot towels after a dusty game drive, torch in the room, a blazing fire round which guests meet and chat in the evening. Usha, the charming owner, and her team run a superb establishment.

ITC Sheraton, Agra
very good; excellent service, good location loved the view of the Taj from the roof.

Wild Chalet, Kanha
- rustic and comfortable cottages in a wonderful location overlooking the river so tranquil - a magical spot. The naturalists were extremely knowledgeable and really enjoyed sharing theirexpertise with us.

Palace Heights Hotel, Delhi
a perfect choice for our last day. Wel located, quick and smooth check-in, delicious breakfast, very helpful staff. Great value for money.

So, as you can see, we were extremely happy with every place we stayed!

It was as a result of an itinerary on your website that I picked up Kanha, and must thank you for this. Coming from South Africa, we love wildlife. We thoroughly enjoyed Ranthambore and were lucky enough to see 4 tigers there, 3 close up, but we felt Kanha was a more real wildlife experience: the forest is beautiful and the naturalists are superb - highly professional and passionate about the animals - we also saw 2 tigers there, 1 close up, as well as sloth bear and wild boar, which was so exciting. The naturalists were passionate about the trees and the birds as well and we so enjoyed
learning from them: many species are similar to what we have here - barbets,rollers, ibis, hoopoes, hornbills...

We loved our train journeys: your trains are so punctual and efficient - they left exactly on time and arrived exactly on time. It was such fun finding our compartment on the name list next to the door, and it was great
getting the lovely clean sheets and towels.

May we just forward one comment regarding the shopping: we feel the shopping stops should not take up valuable sightseeing time and should only be at the end of the tour. All the tourists we spoke to throughout our trip felt the same way: we all know that shopping is an integral part of visiting India,but the high commission makes the prices very expensive, with the result that tourists are reluctant to shop at the places guides take them too. Sure, commission is part of the game, but reduce it, as these shopping stops are counter productive. I pass this on in the hope that you can communicate this to all agencies and guides - it is not only a reflection of the ones we had. We were very aware of how much tourism has fallen in India after 26/11 and we are so sad for your beautiful country, as we know how many people's livelihood is dependent on it. If the commission is reduced more tourists will buy and both the shops and the guides benefit.

As a result of our trip, a friend of mine is very interested in visiting Ranthambore and Kanha, and based on our excellent experience with you, will certainly book her trip with Vardhman when she does come. We will also pass your details onto a local travel agent here in Johannesburg, and, as promised, I will be posting a report on Trip Advisor.

I brought a box of chocolates for you Sarita, and forgot to give them to you- I am so sorry! It was lovely meeting you ,and when we come back to India to see some of the south (Kerala maybe, and some more national parks certainly!) we will be booking with Vardhman.

We returned to Hyderabad on 30th Oct after enjoying the Kerala Splendors Tour organized by you. The places we visited emphasized the fact that ‘Kerala is gods own country’. The whole Holiday was made memorable by the clock work precision with which all arrangements were made. we are back in michigan after a wonderful trip with unforgettable experiences. thank you for all you did to make our trip memorable. we LOVED all the hotels we stayed at, and all the travel accomodations were SUPERB. we loved all the excursions we took - very, very interesting. so here is how it can be improved:

1. allow a full or at least half a day at Akshardharm. it was such an incredible place that we felt we didn't have enough time.
2. the road to Khujarao, while interesting, was very rough.
3. now about the guides and drivers.

the best were the guide and driver in Varanasi and of course Sanjay and Shyam.
Shyam was by far the BEST rep we encountered. he was knowledgeable, helpful, listened to our needs and was willing to accept feedback without being defensive.
we LOVED Shyam. give him our best and promote him if you can. :)

i am only giving you feedback because you asked and i think we can always try to be better right?
but rest assured we had a fabulous time and are very appreciative of all you did to make our stay memorable. If we come back to India i will definitely call you :)

We had a good trip (Golden Triangle Tour) which was arranged through your office . Really we enjoyed. Thank you for arranging such a lovely trip. Let me take this opportunity to appreciate the Driver, whom you have arranged to take us for the tour. He is very polite, soft spoken and humble person, always tried to maintain the time punctuality . Kindly convey our regards and appreciation to him.

Few suggestions I would like to mention, as follows:

· Even though the hotel in Delhi was spacious, it was not so comfortable, , as the renovation work was going on there. Sopha sets were so dirty, tables with full of dust…etc.

· Arrangement to be made for visitor’s shopping, which can be in a medium level. The Driver should know the shopping centers to guide us, not the guide. The guide take people to the expensive shopping centers, which is not affordable to all. Even though we have requested them to take us to the medium level shops, they ignored. As you know, when we go for a tour we have to buy some small souvenirs for friends, relatives & neighbours. But in this case we couldn’t do the same. That was bit disappointed us.

· The services from Vardhman was extremely good. We referred your name to many of our friends here. Hope to have future business relationship with you.

Hi Sarita, really we have enjoyed our trip and we are too grateful with you and also with the group of persons that have worked in this tour for us. We only have two comments about the our tour.

For us the feeling with the guide in Agra, for the Taj Mahal, was totally different than the others; may be he was sick and he did not too much patience with us, and you remember that we are very metiulous and we spend too much time to take pictures and to enjoy maximum time. Also for us the hotel in Delhi did not was nice, however the service was careful but the instalations was not good. But it was not problem for us.

The guides was good, mainly the guide for the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary, Mr. Rana, and the guide in spanish language in Delhi, Mr. Singh. Also the drivers in Delhi and in Khajuraho was nice persons.

But for us the places was the better in this trip. Thanks a lot for your help and patience and may be in another opportunity we come back to India.

Unfortunately, we are already back in Switzerland and have to go back to our daily live. Herewith, we would like to thank you very much for your perfect organization of our tour through India. We spent such an interesting and lovely time in this beautiful country and were able to catch many different impressions. All your bookings, the meeting points with the agents and drivers were perfectly organized and couldn’t work better. Also the hotels were really good. Actually, we would like to point out the Kanha Jungle Lodge in Kanha National Park. This is a very quiet and beautiful place for people who like the nature. Also the family who rules the lodge and the whole staff is extremely friendly. We can highly recommend this lovely lodge.

Yes we had a wonderful trip, thank you! And we tell everybody with whom we travelled, so I hope you will get good credit!

But if we have to say something in return, it wpuld be that the driver in Varanasi was not very good in english, and we missed the Golden Tempel becourse of some traficjam, witch we agried on.

The drivers, and specialy the first from Delhi to Agra, was very kind and helpfull to us, and he really did what he could to make it a pleasent and joyfull trip. Send him our best regards!

We was so lucky to see at tiger in Ranthambore, it was wonderfull and impressive!

A funny experince was the visit in Choki Dhani Village. We did't knew what we was going to see, an suddently we found our self sitting on the flor, eating some mysterius food of palmplates and having a great time!

Nepal was a very good experience! They was so nice and helped us a lot.

The hotels was all very good to the price, except the one in Varanasi. But we know it was hard for you to get one, becourse of the wedding time i town.

All this is small things, when we think of how long we travelled and how many fantastic things we saw and experienced!
