Day 01 : Arrive Delhi
Begin your tour.
Arrive into Delhi
Welcome to Vardhman's 'Best Places of India Tour'! On arrival
in Delhi, you will be met and transferred by Vardhman's representative
to your hotel. Relax for some time and later proceed for a sightseeing
tour of Old Delhi and New Delhi.
Visit Qutab Minar, Humayun's tomb, Lakshminarayan Temple, a
modern Hindu Temple, Parliament House, Government Secretarial
Building and Connaught place, the shopping centre of New Delhi.
Visit Red Fort, built in 1648 by Mughal Emperor Shahjehan, Jama
Masjid, one of the largest Mosque of India, Raj Ghat and Shanti
Vana, the cremation sites of Mahatama Gandhi and Jawaharlal
Nehru. Also drive past Chandni Chowk, shopping centre of Old
Delhi. Optional: Dances of India or explore the market &
shop for special bargains!

Day 02 : Delhi-Mathura-Agra
This morning after breakfast drive to the "Romantic
city of Taj Mahal" - Agra!. Enroute visit Mathura &
Vrindavan. On arrival at Agra, transfer to hotel. Relax for
rest of the day.
Overnight : Hotel Day 03 : Agra
Visit Taj Mahal (Closed on Friday) during Sunrise. Return back
to hotel for breakfast and later proceed on a city tour of Agra.
Visit Red fort & Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daula. Later you will
visit a marble gallery - the flagship store in Agra which offers
an excellant range of white marble, fashionable wear & exotic
wooden articles, truly a one stop shop!

Day 04 : Agra -Fatehpur Sikiri- Jaipur
On day 4 following a breakfast at the hotel drive to Jaipur.
Enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri, once the capital of emperor Akbar
for almost 14 years. Fahehpur Sikri is home to a number of picturesque
palaces, monuments and Dargah of Sufi Saint Salim Chisti. Arrive
to Jaipur and check in to your hotel. Evening is free for personal

Day 05 : Jaipur
This morning you will experience the wonders of this magicial
pink city, as you proceed on a tour of Amber fort. Later visit
the Jagmandir or the Hall of victory glitterning with mirrors,
Maharaja's City Palace and the Observatory. Drive past Hawa
Mahal or the Palace of Winds and through the rose pink residential
and business areas of Jaipur.

Day 06 : Jaipur - Ajmer
This morning after a leaisurely breakfast drive to the most
holy cities of Pushkar and Ajmer. Upon arrival check into your
hotel. Relax for a while and later proceed on a city tour of
Ajmer.
Pushkar happens to be the holiest places according to the Hindus
as it is considered that Lord Brahma (the Creator) and his wife
Saraswati (the godess of learning and music) performed a ritual
in the lake. Here we visit the only Brahma temple of the world
before intermingling with the local colours in the local bazaar.
Pushkar is the world famous for its cattle fair held each year
in the month of October/November. Proceed towards Ajmer. Ajmer
is the pious city for the Muslims. Surprisingly both the cities
are at distance of 11km from each other. Visit the Durgah built
in fond remembrance of Khwaja Muin ud Din Chisti where the Muslim
pilgrims from all over India throng during the festival times.
Later visit Mughal emperor Akbar’s Palace where his son
Jehangir received Sir Thomas Roe to grant him the permission
of trade to East India Company with India, that changed the
history of India completely and slowly and steadily India became
colony of the British Empire. Overnight : Hotel Day 07 : Ajmer
- Udaipur
Early morning after breakfast, drive to Udaipur. Arrive Udaipur
and check into your hotel. Evening is free for personal activities.

Day 08 : Udaipur
After breakfast, proceed on a sightseeing tour of Udaipur
city. Visit the magnificent City Palace, Sahelion Ki Bari, Jagdish
temple and the Bharatiya Lok Mandal. Complete your tour in the
"City of Lakes" with a quick glimpse of the Fateh
Sagar Lake. Evening is free for shopping.

Day 09 : Udaipur - Mumbai - Chennai
This morning breakfast transfer to Udaipur airport to board
flight for Mumbai. Arrive Mumbai and board the connecting flight
to Chennai. On arrival, at chennai airport you will be met and
transferred by our representative to your hotel. Day is free
to relax.
Overnight : Hotel
Day 10 : Chennai
After a relaxed breakfast, proceed for a sightseeing tour
of the city.
Visit the Fort St George, Government Museum, Valluvar Kottam,
Snake Park, Kapaleeshwarar Temple and Marina Beach. Evening
is free to relax or go for shopping.

Day 11 : Chennai - Kanchipuram-Mahabalipuram
Early morning after breakfast, drive to Mahabalipuram. En-route
visit the famous town of Kanchipuram. This temple town was once
the capital of Pallava dynasty. You can shop here for a superb
collection of silk sarees and dress materials.
Arrive Mahabalipuram and check into your hotel.

Day 12 : Mahabalipuram
After a leisurely breakfast, proceed on full-day sightseeing
tour of Mahabalipuram.
Visit the Shore Temple, Bas Relief, Krishna Mandappam, Old lighthouse
and the five Rathas. Evening free to relax on the beach.

Day 13 : Mahabalipuram - Tanjore
Early morning drive to Tanjore. On arrival check into your
hotel. Day free to relax.

Day 14 : Tanjore
After breakfast, proceed for a sightseeing trip of Tanjore
city.
Visit the Thanjavur Palace, the Breehadishwara Temple and the
Fort. Evening is free for leisure activites.

Day 15 : Tanjore - Trichy
Morning drive to Trichy and check in to your hotel.
Later visit the famous Rock Fort Temple and Sri Ranganathaswami

Day 16 : Trichy - Madurai
After breakfast at the hotel, we drive to Madurai and on
arrival check into your hotel. Later, visit the Meenakshi Temple,
Tirumalai Nayak Palace and the Gandhi Memorial museum.

Day 17 : Madurai - Periyar/Thekkady
In the morning after breakfast drive to Periyar and check
into your hotel. Afternoon is free to relax in the hotel. In
the evening go for some leisure activities.

Day 18 : Periyar
After breakfast, proceed for a visit to the spice plantations.
Later visit the Periyar wildlife sanctuary by boat cruise on
Lake Periyar at your own. Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary is home
to Tigers, Elephants and several other animals. Evening free
for shopping of spices.

Day 19 : Periyar - Kumarakom/Kottayam
Following breakfast, drive to Kumarakom and check into your
hotel. Later visit the Kumarakom Bird Sanctury. Evening is free
to relax.

Day 20 : Kumarakom-Alleppey
After a relaxed breakfast, transfer to houseboat for an
unforgettable 22 hrs cruise with all meals on board.
The overnight cruise takes you through Kumarakom-Alleppey backwaters
allowing you to enjoy serene surroundings en route. Breakfast,
lunch and dinner served on board. Enjoy the backwaters of Kerala
by getting a glimpse of the village life from a close quarter.
Enjoy the sunset and stay overnight on the houseboat. It will

Day 21 : Alleppey- Cochin
The houseboat comes to halt in Alleppey. Disembark the houseboat
after breakfast and drive to Cochin. On arrival check into your
hotel. Later proceed for a sightseeing trip of Cochin city.
Visit Fort Cochin - ancient capital of the Dutch, Portuguese
and finally the British. Other must visits include the old Spice
Market at Mattancherry, the antique shop on Jews Street, the
Synagogue, Dutch Palace and, of course, the Church of St. Francis
where the mortal remains of Vasco Da Gama was buried before
it was shifted to Portugal.

Day 22 : Cochin - Mysore
After breakfast, drive to Mysore and check into your hotel.
Evening is free to relax.

Day 23 : Mysore
On the 23 day of your tour proceed for a half day sightseeing
tour of Mysore city after having breakfast at the hotel.
Visit Chamundi hills, Flower bazaar and the marvellous City
Palace. Evening is free for shopping and other leisure activities.

Day 24 : Mysore - Bangalore
After a relaxed breakfast drive to Bangalore. En-route visit
Srirangapatna. Arrive Bangalore and check into your hotel. Evening
is free to relax or shopping in the nearby markets.

Day 25 : Sightseeing tour of Bangalore
After breakfast, proceed for a half day sightseeing tour
of Bangalore.
Visit the Lal Bagh with a variety of old trees, fountains, lotus
pools, terraces & an assortment of tropical and sub-tropical
herbs. Also see the Maharaja's Palace & Government Buildings.
Evening is free for personal activities.

Day 26 : Bangalore - Goa
Today in the morning tranfser to Bangalore airport to board
flight for Goa. On arrival, at Goa airport you will be met and
transferred by our representative to your hotel. Rest of the
day is free to relax on any of the beach.

Day 27 - 28 : Goa
Whole day free to relax on the picturesque beach of Goa.
You may indulge yourself in beachside water sports. Also enjoy
the feni and other local drinks on beachside shacks. Go for
shopping in the flea markets.

Day 29 : Goa - Mumbai
Morning transfer to Goa airport and board your flight to
Mumbai. On arrival, at Mumbai airport you will be met and transferred
by our representative to your hotel.
Later proceed for a city tour of Mumbai visiting the Dhobi Ghat,
Mani Bhawan, Gateway of India and Prince of Wales Museum. Drive
past the Marine drive. Evening is free for shopping and other
leisure activities.

Full Day Excursion to Elephanta Caves
After breakfast, proceed for a trip to Elephanta caves. Elephant
caves are 9 kms away from Apollo bunder and it is home to temples
dedicated to Lord Shiva. After visiting the temples and caves
on Elephant Island come back to Mumbai. Evening is free for
shopping or personal activities.

Day 31 : Mumbai Departure
Morning at leisure.Later, in time transfer to the Mumbai
airport to catch flight for your onward destination with pleasant
memories of 'Best Places of India Tour' escorted by Vardhman
Vacations.
