Day 1. Arrive Madras/Chennai
Begain your tourArrive into Chennai Welcome to Vardhman's "South
India Wildlife Tour"!!!On arrival in Chennai, you will
be met and transferred by Vardhman's representative to your
hotel. Relax for a while and later proceed for sightseeing of
Chennai. Visit museum to see the Art and Bronze Gallery (Closed
on Fridays and Public holidays). Drive through the Flower and
Fruit market, High court, Fort Museum, Marina Beach, San Thome
Cathedral and Snake Park.Overnight: Hotel
Day 2. Madras - Kanchipuram-Mahabalipuram
Today morning leave for Mahabalipuram. Enroute visit Kanchipuram
(64kms from Chennai (Madras), which was the capital of the Pallava
dynasty and has about 1000 temples and many of them are in use
to this day. Some important temples include Ekambaswara, Kailasanatha,
Sri Kamakshi and Varadarajaswamy. Knachipuram is well known
for its silks. Overnight: Hotel
Day 3. Mahabalipuram - Pondicherry
Morning city tour of Mahabalipuram.The travel to the city
of Mahabalipuram is famous for its rock cut temples and the
Seashore temple these are excellent examples of Dravidian Style
of Architecture.
Later in the afternoon drive to Pondicherry. Upon arrival, check
into your hotel to stay overnight.Overnight: Hotel
Day 4. Pondicherry - Tanjore
On the day 4 of your tour proceed on a city tour of Pondicherry.Visit
Aurbindo Ashram, the city of dawn, which is 10kms north of
Pondicherry. This ashram promotes Aurbindo's ideas in bringing
about a synthesis of Yoga and modern science, so as to unite
the spirit and matter. After lunch at hotel, visit Auroville
- a unique experiment in international living and in creating
a new environment where men and women of all nationalities
live together in harmony. Later in the afternoon drive to
Tanjore. Upon arrival, check into your hotel to stay overnight.

Day 5. Tanjore -Trichy- Madurai
Morning proceed on a city tour of Tanjore.Tanjore once
the capital of Chola Kings, has the Brahadeswara temple(or
the big temple of God).The temple tower rises to a height
of 15mts from a square base of 29 mts and then tapers off,
making a total of 66mts. Later in the afternoon proceed for
Madurai enroute visit Trichy.Trichy, short name of Trichurapalli,
situated on the banks of Kaveri River is a blend of history
and tradition as well as pilgrim centre, it is famous for
Ranganath temple at Srirangam.Upon arrival, check into your
hotel to stay overnight.Overnight: Hotel
Day 6. Madurai
Madurai-The ancient city some 2600 years old is laid out
in the banks of river Vaigai as a lotus flower with the Meenakshi
temple in the centre. Proceed on a city tour visiting - Meenakshi
temple, King Tirumala's Palace, Great tank and Gandhi museum.
Visit Meenakshi Temple for prayer ceremony in the evening.

Day 7. Madurai - Periyar
This morning after breakfast at the hotel drive to Periyar.
Upon arrival,check into your hotel. Relax for sometime and
later proceed on a city tour of Periyar.Visit Periyar Wildlife
Sanctury. Later visit spice plantations like cardamom, cinnamon,
pepper, coffee, tea estates etc. on your way back to the hotel,
you could stop at the local market and pick up some fragrant
spices. Overnight: Hotel
Day 8. Periyar - Kumarakom/Kottayam
This morning after breakfast drive to Kottayam/Kumarakom.
On arrival, check into your Houseboat. The overnight cruise
takes you through Kumarakom/Kottayam backwaters allowing you
to enjoy serene surroundings en route. Breakfast, lunch and
dinner served on board. Enjoy the backwaters of Kerala by
getting a glimpse of the village life from a close quarter.
Enjoy the sunset and stay overnight on the houseboat. It will
definitely be a unique and unforgettable experience for your
lifetime.

Day 9. Kumarakom - Alleppey - Cochin
The houseboat comes to halt at Alleppey. Disembark the
houseboat after breakfast and drive to Cochin. On arrival,
check into your hotel. Relax for rest of the day. OPTIONAL:
In the evening attend the Kathkali Dance Show.
Overnight: Hotel
Day 10. Cochin - Ooty
This morning after breakfast drive to Ooty. Upon arrival,
check into your hotel. Relax for a while and visit Ooty Lake,
Botanical Gardens, Dodda Betta etcOvernight: Hotel
Day 11. Ooty - Mysore
This morning drive to Mysore. On reaching Mysore, transfer
to a hotel and visit illuminated Vrindavan gardens and Krishnarajasagar
dam in the evening. Overnight: Hotel
Day 12. Mysore-Bangalore
City Tour of Mysore. Visit Maharaja Palace and later in
the day drive to Chamundi Hill and see the huge Nandi Bull
statue, St. Philomena's Church & Mysore Zoo. Later drive
to Bangalore. Enroute visit Srirangapatam. Reach Bangalore
and check into your hotel.
Overnight: Hotel
Day 13. Mysore - Bangalore
This morning after breakfast transfer to Bangalore airport
or railway station to board flight or train for your onward
journey to backhome with sweet and unforgettable memories
of your "South India Wildlife Tour" escorted by
