Your itinerary day by day Day 1: Mumbai-Colombo-Kandy Arrival at Colombo Airpor t. Meet, assist and leave for Kandy en-route visiting Elephant Orphanage at Pinnawela. At this orphanage you will find elephants which are abandoned or otherwise unable to fend for themselves due to being injured. They ate looked After with loving care until such time they ready to work or be freed back to the Jungles. The unique feature is that one could feed the baby elephant with bot tles of milk during the feeding times. Arrive at your hotel. Check in for an overnight stay at your hotel. Day 2: At Kandy Breakfast. Commence Kandy city tour including a visit to the Temple of the Tooth Relic of Buddha- A renowned site encircled by hills, with a tranquil lake in its centre. Places of interest are the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens and the Mahaweli Diversion Project in their impressive set tings. Witness a traditional Kandyan Dance & Fire Walking Show. Overnight stay at hotel. Day 3: Kandy- Nuwara Eliya After break fast, visit Royal Botanical Gardens at Peradeniya. Leave for Nuwara Eliya enroute visiting a tea plantation & a factory. Overnight stay at your hotel. Day 4: Nuwara Eliya After breakfast, commence Nuwara Eliya sightseeing including a visit to the Sita Amman Temple. Sri Lanka's Garden city,Nuwara Eliya which means the 'city of lights' is also the city of eternal spring, where the air is pure, cool and distilled up through 1,884 meters; windswept peaks lie shrouded in mist, while gaily clad pluckers wind their way among tea bushes. Listen to the wild music of the water falls. Overnight stay at hotel. Day 5: Nuwara Eliya Kataragama After breakfast, leave for Kataragama via Ella Wellawaya. Visit the legendary Rawana Ella water fall which is linked with the Rama Si ta legend. Arrive at Katahragama,Kataragama, located in the south east corner of the island, is a scared township dedicated to God Skanda. This is a popular pilgrim center for Hindus. Visi t Kataragama. Overnight stay at hotel. Day 6: Katragama-Hikkaduwa, Bentota or Kalutara After break fast, leave for Hikkaduwa,Bentota or Kalutara via Galleen-route visiting Dutch fort in Galle. This southern seaport was the 17th Century centre of Dutch rule. The town is full if Dutch monuments, rampar ts, and forest, to bear witness to this fact. Galle is also famous for its ebony carving and delicate hand made lace. Overnight stay at hotel. Day 7: Hikkaduwa, Bentowa or Kalutara - Colombo After break fast, at leisur e in the beach/Optional visits or leave for Colombo. Commence city tour of Colombo. Colombo our Sea Port Capital, which is a town totally fascinating in i ts variety. Old Dutch Churches and other evidence of the colonial past, Ornate Hindu and Buddhist Temples with murals and statues give a glimpse of history and architecture. Overnight at hotel.
