Day 01: Delhi
Begin your tour.
Arrive into Delhi.
Welcome to Vardhman's "Palaces Forts Tour". On arrival in
Delhi, you will be met and transferred by Vardhman's representative
to your hotel.
Later proceed for sightseeing of Delhi.
City tour of New & Old Delhi.
Later proceed on a tour of the city, which includes the main attraction
like Qutab Minar, Humayun's tomb, Lakshminarayan Temple, a modern
Hindu Temple, Parliament House, Government Secretarial Building and
Connaught place, the shopping centre of New Delhi.
Visit Red Fort, built in 1648 by Mughal Emperor Shahjehan, Jama Masjid,
one of the largest Mosque of India, Raj Ghat and Shanti Vana, the
cremation sites of Mahatama Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru. Also drive
past Chandni Chowk, shopping centre of Old Delhi.

Day 02: Delhi - Agra
This morning, drive to the 'Romantic city of Taj Mahal' - Agra!
City tour of Agra.
Visit Taj Mahal & Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daula.
Afternoon, we ride to the massive Agra Fort. The elegant buildings
inside reflect an interesting synthesis of Hindu and Central Asian
architectural styles. The maze of the courtyards, mosques & private
chambers of the fort echo the story of the Mughal Empire. The Moti
Masjid & other magnificent buildings reflect the skill of the
ancient Indian architectsLater you will visit a marble gallery - the
flagship store in Agra which offers an excellant range of white marble,
fashionable wear & exotic wooden articles, truly a one stop shop!

Day 03: Agra -Fatehpur Sikri- Jaipur
After breakfast drive to Jaipur enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri.
FATEHPUR SIKRI : The deserted, red Sandstone City, Emperor Akbar
built that as his capital and palace in the late 16th century is
an exhilarating experience. It a veritable fairytale city and its
"ruins" are in pristine condition ... it's not hard to
imagine what the court life must have been like in the days of it's
grandeur. Also visit the Buland Darwaza, the largest gateway in
the world.

Day 04: Jaipur
After breakfast, excursion to Amber Fort enroute witness the
façade of Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds which was built
in 1799. Amber Fort - The ancient capital of the state until 1727
when Jai Singh decided to move from his hillside fortress at Amber
to new site on the plains. The construction of this fort began in
1592 by Raja Man Singh, the Rajput commander of Akbars army.
The fort is a superb example of Rajput architecture, stunningly
situated on a hillside and overlooking a lake which reflects its
terraces and ramparts. Visit the Jagmandir or the hall of victory
glittering with mirrors, Jal Mahal & temple of Kali. Ascend
on elephant back, the hill, on which the fort is situated.Afternoon,
city tour of Jaipur. Visit the Jantar Mantar the observatory built
by Jai Singh in 1728; the City Palace which is a blend of Rajasthani
and Mughal architecture. It also has a museum with an extensive
collection of art, carpets, paintings, enamel ware and weapons dating
back to the 15th century.

Day 05: Jaipur - Udaipur
Today after breakfast drive to Udaipur Upon arrival at Udaipur
check into your hotel.
Udaipur is the jewel of MEWAR -a kingdom ruled by the Sisodia dynasty
for 1200 Years.Overnight: Hotel
Day 06: Udaipur
After breakfast proceed for sightseeing of Udaipur, stopping
first at City Palace. Here you will marvel at rooms with mirrored
walls and ivory doors, colored glass windows and inlaid marble balconies
and the Peacock Courtyard.
Later visit the City Palace, Jagdish Temple, drive around Fatehsagar
Lake, Sahelion ki Bari (Queen resort for her friends) and Bhartiya
Lok Kala Mandir (Folk Art Museum), the Winter Palace and the big
City Palace with museum, short drive to the tempels of Nagda and
to the tempelcomplex of Eklingji (by 6 PM if possible), boat trip:
Jagmandir Island.

Day 07: Udaipur - Jodhpur
Today after breakfast drive to Jodhpur enroute visit Ranakpur
Temples. Ranakpur - 98 kms from Udaipur, the Jain Temples built
in the 15th century are situated in the lovely valley of the Aravali.
Its surrounding is quiet and picturesque. Ranakpur has grand structures
and beautiful sculpture. There are 1444 pillars in the temple and
none of them are similar.
Upon arrival at Jodhpur check into your hotel.
Later visit the museum of UMAID BHAWAN PALACE.

Day 08: Jodhpur
Morning enjoy for a village safari in the jeep and have a rare
glimpse into the rich culture and true essence of India. Abundant
wildlife (game) and memorable moments of the great desert landscape
fascinates one while driving along the countryside.

Day 09: Jodhpur - Jaisalmer
After breakfast drive to Jaisalmer. Upon arrival at Jaisalmer
check into your hotel.
Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 10: Jaisalmer
Today after breakfast proceed for full day sightseeing of The
Golden City - Jaisalmer. It is in the heart of the Great Indian
Desert. Its temple, fort and palaces are all built of yellow stone.The
city is a mass of intricately carved buildings, facades and elaborate
balconies. Later visit the JAISALMER FORT - The oldest living Fort
in the world.
Overnight : Camp
Day 11: Jaisalmer - Bikaner
Breakfast at the camp. Continue with the safari and reach Bikaner
via NAGAUR.
Upon arrival at Bikaner Check into your hotel.
Relax in the evening.

Day 12: Bikaner - Mandawa
This morning after breakfast proceed for sightseeing of Bikaner
Visit Bikaner
Bikaner is bolstered by imposing walls and has a 16th century fort
housing old palaces, temples and a mosque. Founded by Raja Rai Singh,
the fort is distinguished by its long range of 37 pavilions, a line
of balconies and aerial windows of varying designs. An enormous
arched doorway leads to the Joramal Temple. The royal chapel is
Har Mandir where royal weddings and births were once celebrated.
Later drive to Mandawa. Upon arrival at Mandawa check into your
hotel.

Day 13: Mandawa - Delhi
After breakfast proceed on a city tour of Mandawa.
Visit Mandawa
Visit Mandwa , found in 1755 by Thakur Nawal Singh and still the
home of his descendants. See beautiful frescoes, havelis and mansions.
Mandawa castle, one of the finest castles of Rajasthan, is now a
hotel and house of collections of armories, costumes of ancestors,
canons from 1820, ancient coins, numismatic collection and many
other interesting items, preserved in a museum. A walking tour of
the painted 'havelis' of some of the leading business families of
the country.
Later drive to Delhi. Upon arrival at Delhi check into your hotel.

Day 14: Delhi
This morning after breakfast transfer to the Delhi airport/railway
station to catch flight/train for your onward destination with sweet
and unforgettable memories of "Palaces Forts Tour" escorted
by Vardhman Vacations.
