Your day to day itinerary Day 1: Trivandrum/Thiruvanthapuram Begin your tour Arrive into Trivandrum Welcome to Vardhman's "Delightful South India" On arrival in Trivandrum, you will be met and transferred by Vardhman's representative to your hotel. Freshen up and the proceed for sightseeing of Trivandrum. Visit Napier Museum, Sri Chitra Art Gallery, Veli lagoon and Kuthiramalika Palace, Shree Padmanabha Swami Temple, Zoological gardens, Reptile house, Observatory, Aakulam Boat Club. Overnight: Hotel Day 2: Trivandrum/Thiruvanthapuram - Kanyakumari Morning after breakfast, proceed towards Kanyakumari, which is at the southernmost tip of India, where the Arabian Sea, the Bay of Bengal & Indian Sea meet to each other. An important pilgrimage centre. Two rocks reach out of the Ocean, south - east of the Kumari Amman Temple. Swami Vivekanand sat in the long and deep meditation; and here stands the Vivekanand Rock Memorial, built in 1970. Vattakottai (Circular Fort): The 18th century fort overlooking the sea, located 6 Kms. From Kanyakumari, here is the Sea calm & suitable for bathing etc. Upon arrival check in at Hotel. After refreshment visit this mythological place. Overnight: Hotel Day 3: Kanyakumari-Rameshwarm On the day 3 of your tour drive towards Rameshwaram-one of the four most sacred Hindu pilgrim centres. Temples Associated with Lord Ramas, Beach & 1000 Pillared Mandapam. Upon arrival check in at Hotel. After refreshment, visit Rameshwaram. Overnight: Hotel Day 4: Rameshwaram-Madurai Morning after breakfast, drive towards Madurai and upon arrival check in at Hotel. Fresh up yourself and take a tour around Madurai. Madurai is also known as a city of festival, Madurai is the most ancient home of culture and first Academy was founded here by scholars and pious kings. Visit Teppa kulam a tank with an island temple, Tirumalainaik palace, 1000 pillared hall & the Meenakshi Temple. Overnight: Hotel Day 5: Madurai-Thekkady This morning after breakfast drive to Thekkady, which is famous for the wildlife sanctuary. Upon arrival check into your hotel. Relax for the remaining part of the day. In the evening visit Kumily spice market to see and buy spices. Overnight: Hotel Day 6: Thekkady Full day free to visit Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. OPTIONAL ACTIVITY: You can enjoy Elephant ride, Jeep Safari, Bamboo rafting and Nature walk at the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary.s Overnight: Hotel Day 7: Thekkady- Sabrimalai -Alleppey/ Alappuzha This morning after breakfast drive towards Alleppey. Enroute visit Sabrimalai. Sabarimalai is a pilgrim centre in Kerala in the Western Ghat mountain ranges of India. Lord Ayyappan's temple is situated here in the midst of 18 hills. The area is in the Sahya hilly regions of Kerala in Pathanamthitta District. The temple is situated on a hilltop at an altitude of 1260 m/4135 ft. above mean sea level, and is surrounded by mountains and dense forests. Temples existed in each of the hills surrounding Sabarimalai. While functional and intact temples exist at many places in the surrounding areas like Nilackal, Kalaketi, and Karimala, remnants of old temples are visible in the remaining hills. Reach Alleppey/Alappuzha and check into your houseboat. The backwater cruise in a country boat is the best way to explore the villages and rural life. In Alleppey you will be taken aboard your floating houseboat, a different boat with a bedroom and en-suite rest room for your comfort. Enjoy unlimited surfing on backwaters, sip a coconut, get disturbed by only the chirping of birds and occasional ripples in water and savor mouthwatering delicacies prepared in front of you by your Kitchen crew. Spend the night on board the houseboat. Enjoy a cruise on the backwater through a maze of canals and lagoons and enjoy freshly caught fresh water fish cooked to your taste on board. Overnight: Houseboat Day 8: Alleppey-Cochin On the fifth day, after breakfast drive to Cochin. Upon arrival at Cochin check into your hotel. Later proceed for sightseeing of Cochin. Visit Jewish Synagogue, Dutch Palace, St. Francis Church, Chinese fishing nets and Bolgatty Palace etc. OPTIONAL Activity: Attend Kathkali Dance Show in the evening. Overnight: Hotel Day 9: Cochin-Ooty This morning after breakfast drive to Ooty, which is known for its tea estates. Upon arrival check into your hotel. Later visit botanical garden. Evening time is meant for relaxing and enjoying the boat ride on the lake. Overnight: Hotel Day 10: Ooty - Coimbatore - Bangalore On day 10 of your tour proceed for the sightseeing of Ooty. Visit the lake, Conoor Tea Gardens, Sim's Park, Dolphin's Nose having, Lamb's Rock viewpoint. Later visit Film shooting points & other points of interest or shopping. In the evening transfer to Coimbatore Junction railway station to board overnight Bangalore Express train number 6525 at 2245hrs for Bangalore. Overnight: On board Train Day 11: Bangalore-Puttaparthi Reach Bangalore CY Junction railway station at 0655hrs. You will be met by our representative and then drive directly to Puttaparthi. Reach Puttaparthi and check into your hotel. Later visit Prasanthi Nilyam. Prasanthi Nilayam is Sathya Sai Baba's main ashram. Located in Puttaparthi, the village where Sai Baba was born (now a city). Overnight: Hotel Day 12: Puttaparthi Full day free to visit Prasanthi Nilayam. Overnight: Hotel Day 13: Puttaparthi-Tirupati This morning after breakfast drive to Tirupati. Reach Tirupati and check into your hotel. Tirupati- one of the most important & the richest temple of the world. It is famous for the shrine of "Seven hills" of Tirumala, which attract millions of pilgrims from all over India. Picturesquely situated amidst sacred waterfalls and tanks, the shrine presents a fine example of early Dravidian art. In front of it is the "Hall of Pillars" from where an attractive stepped way leads to the temple. The term 'Tirupati' is made of two words, where 'Tiru' means 'Sri' and 'Pati' means 'Husband'. Thus, 'Tirupati' suggests 'Maha Vishnu' or 'Lord of Maha Lakshmi'. Dotted with several temples and immersed in the divine aura in conjunction with scenic beauty, Tirupathi appears truly charismatic. Apart from Sri Venkateswara Temple, there are many famous shrines here, like those of Govindaraja, Rama, Mallikarjuna, etc. Evening return back to Chennai hotel for an overnight rest. Overnight: Hotel Day 14: Tirupati This morning proceed to visit Tirupati Temples Tirupati Temple With the ceaseless blessings of the Almighty, Sri Venkateswara Temple continues to be the most visited shrine in the world. Not only most visited, it also claims the distinction of being the world's richest temple too. Tirupati Balaji Temple is perched on the Venkatachala or Ventaka Hill. Sri Govindrajaswamy Temple In Tirupati, Sri Govindrajaswamy Temple is the most visited temple, after Sri Venkateswara. The impressive spire of this temple captures the attention of everyone with its colossal size. Its presiding deities are Lord Vishnu and his incarnation, Lord Krishna. In 1130 AD, the shrine was sanctified by Saint Ramanujacharya. Sri Kapileswaraswami Temple Situated at foot of the Tirumala Hills, Sri Kapileswaraswami Temple is the only shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva in Tirupati. The temple boasts of splendid architecture. It has got a natural waterfall, which is called Kapila Teertham and sometimes, Alwar Teertham. Sri Kodandaramaswami Temple Situated in the heart of Tirupati, Sri Kodandaramaswami Temple is an ancient temple that dates back to the 10th century. Built by a Chola king, the shrine is dedicated to Lord Rama, Sita and Lakshmana. It is said that this temple is a memorial of the journey of Lord Rama to Tirupati-Balaji. On its opposite side, there is a shrine dedicated to Lord Anjaneyaswami (Hanuman). Sri Kalyana Venkateswaraswami Temple Located at a distance of 12 km from Tirupati, Sri Kalyana Venkateswaraswami temple is located at Srinivasa Mangapuram. According to the legends, Lord Venkateswara rested at this place after his wedding with Sri Padmavathi Devi, prior to heading for Tirumala. Tiruchanur About 5 km from Tirupati Temple, Tiruchanur houses the renowned temple of Sri Padmavathi Devi (Goddess Lakshmi), the consort of Sri Venkateswara. It is believed that a visit to Tirupati temple is rewarding only after paying homage to Sri Padmavati Devi Temple. Also known as Alamelumangapuram, Tiruchanur also comprises Sri Krishnaswamy Temple, Sri Sundara Rajaswamivari Temple and Sri Suryanarayana Swamivari Temple.
