Welcome to Vardhman's "Gangotri - Kedarnath Trek".
On arrival at Gangotri, you will be met by Vardhman's representative and directly driven down from Gangotri to Mala (1478 m). The actual trek starts here, after crossing the river Bhagirathi.
Gangotri : Gangotri is at an altitude of 3048 meters above sea level. It is on the northernmost part of the state of Uttar Pradesh and is very near the Indo-Tibetan border. It is approximately 300 km from Dehradun, 250 km from Rishikesh and 105 km from Uttarkashi. Gangotri temple is 18th Centuri temple dedicated to Goddess ganga. It is located near a sacred stone where king Bhagirath worshipped Lords Shiva. The temple is an exquisite 20 ft. high structure made of white granite. For the devotees and tourists, the gates of the temple are open only in the months of May to November.

After having breakfast, trek 5 kms to Saurikigad (1218 m). This trek is along an even surface. Evening on your own.

Morning after having breakfast, go for trekking 10 kms uphill to Belak (2439 m). Rest of the day on your own.

Again after having breakfast, trek 14 kms downhill through dense forests, to Budha Kedar (1524m). Evening at leisure.

This morning after a leisurely breakfast, trek 26 kms uphill through terraced fields, and idyllic villages to Panwali (3963 m). The 'bugyals' (alpine meadows) along this trek, are simply enchanting. Evening on your own.
Panwali Dwar : It is a pin shaped snowy mountain located in the Nanda Devi range of Uttaranchal. Panwali Dwar is placed in the mountain ranges of the Himalayas in the Garhwal region.
Overnight: Camp
After having breakfast, trek 14 kms downhill to Sonprayag (1829 m). Evening at leisure.
Sonprayag : At an elevation of 1829 mts. and on the main Kedarnath route, Sonprayag lies at the confluence of river Basuki and Mandakini. The holy site of Son Prayag is of immense religious significance. It is said that a mere touch of the holy water of Son Prayag helps one to attain the “Baikunth Dham”. Kedarnath is at a distance of 19 kms. from Son Prayag. Triyuginarayan, which is supposed to be the marriage place of Lord Shiva and Parvati, is at a distance of 14 kms. by bus and 5 kms. on foot from here.

This morning after a leisurely breakfast, trek 19 kms uphill to Kedarnath (3583 m).
Kedarnath : Situated some 220 Km from Rishikesh, it's one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. Lying against the backdrop of the majestic Kedarnath range, at an altitude of 3,581 m, the imposing Kedarnath temple is surrounded by lofty snow covered peaks. One of the the panch Kedar Shrines, the temple was built by Adi Shankaracharya in the 8th century A.D., standing at the site of an earlier temple built by the Pandavas. Behind the temple itself is the Samadhi of Adi Shankaracharya. Chorabari (Gandhi Sarovar) with floating - ice on the crystal clear waters of the lake and Vasuki Tal, another lake at an altitude of 4,150 m are fascinating sites around Kedarnath. Wild unparalleled scenic beauty, rare panoramic views of innumerable snow - clad peaks, rhododendron forests Alpine meadows make the area utterly enchanting.
