Visit Qutab Minar, Humayun's tomb, Lakshminarayan Temple , a modern Hindu Temple , Parliament House, Government Secretarial Building and Connaught place, the shopping centre of New Delhi . Visit Red Fort, built in 1648 by Mughal Emperor Shahjehan, Jama Masjid, one of the largest Mosque of India, Raj Ghat and Shanti Vana, the cremation sites of Mahatama Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru. Also drive past Chandni Chowk, shopping centre of Old Delhi.

This morning after breakfast Proceed to Jhansi by train and enroute to visit Orchha and upon arrival, check into hotel. Orchha which is a medieval city founded by Bundela rulers with palaces & temples of the 16th & 17th century which have remarkably withstood the onslaught of time. The city is picturesquely flanked by the river Betwa. Visit of the surrounding fortress & local Ram Raja Tample.
Later proceed to visit a full day tour of the Exotic temples (Eastern & Southern) of Khajuraho.

Ajanta Caves are 106 kms from Aurangabad and date back to the 2nd century BC. The 30 rock hewn caves are adorned with Buddhist sculpture and the frescoes portray in epic form the religious and secular life through eight centuries.

This morning after breakfast visit to Ellora Caves (29 kms) encompassing 34 rock cut shrines representing Buddhist,Hindu & Jain art dating from the 4th to 9th century A.D. The most remarkable among them is the Kailash Temple, meant to be a replica of Lord Shivas celestial abode - Kailash is the best example of Rock cut architecture and an engineering marvel. Later visit Daulatabad Fort, Aurangabad Caves.

This morning, drive to airport to take a flight for Madurai and upon arrival, check into hotel. Madurai, known as Athens of the East, it is the second largest city on the banks of the River Vigai. The city believed to be more than 2500 yeras old. The city got its name from the drops of nectar (Mathuram) that fell from Shiva's locs when he came to bless its people for constructing a temple for him.

Visit the great Meenakshi Temple dedicated to the consort of Lord Shiva with its towering gopurams – (rising high above the surrounding countryside). Later, visit the Tirumala Nayak Palace – a gracious building in the Indo-Saracenic style, famous for the stucco work on its domes and arches.

This morning after breakfast drive to Tanjore visiting enroute Trichy and upon arrival, check into the hotel. The Rock Fort situated on the banks of the Kaveri river, Trichy's most famed land mark is an 84 m high rock, one of the oldest in the world aprox.3,800 million years. The attraction is not for fort itself but the temple at the summit. 344 steps hewn out of rock lead to the top where are the inscriptions dating back to the 3rd century B.C.
Later proceed on a City tour of Tanjore
Tanjore (Thanjavur) is famous for Carnatic music, musical instruments, dance and traditional hadicrafts and the Brahadeeswarar Temple. The temple constructed more than a thousand years ago by the Chola King Raja Rajan is an architect's marvel.
In the evening you explore the city including spectacular Rock Fort Temple.

Kanchipuram (70 kms from Chennai (Madras)) is the ancient capital of the Pallavas famous as a city of 1000 Temples and still has 124 shrines. The first temple dedicated to Shiva was built in the 7th and 8th century & has paintings on the walls. Temples of Ekambareswara, Kailasanatha, Sri Kamakshi and Varada Raja swamy are of interest. Kanchipuram is also famous for its silks.
