Your journey begins in Bodhgaya, the site of Buddha's enlightenment, followed by Rajgir, known for the Vulture’s Peak and ancient Buddhist monasteries. Continue to Kushinagar, where Lord Buddha attained Mahaparinirvana, and then cross into Lumbini, Nepal—the blessed birthplace of Siddhartha Gautama. The tour proceeds to Shravasti, a key site where Buddha performed many miracles, and to Varanasi, where the sacred Ganges flows and spiritual energy abounds. The pilgrimage comes full circle back to Bodhgaya, completing a transformative circuit of faith, peace, and enlightenment.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Bodhgaya

Upon arrival at Bodhgaya Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel for check-in and refreshment.

Begin your spiritual journey with a visit to the sacred Mahabodhi Temple, the very site where Lord Buddha attained enlightenment under the Bodhi Tree. Continue to Dhungesri Cave, where Buddha practiced severe penance, followed by the Sujata Stupa, dedicated to Sujata—the village woman who offered food to Siddhartha. End the day with a visit to the impressive Great Buddha Statue, a towering symbol of peace and serenity.

Overnight: Bodhgaya

Day 2 Bodhgaya – Rajgir – Nalanda – Bodhgaya

After an early breakfast, depart for Rajgir, a city closely associated with the teachings of Lord Buddha.

Visit the tranquil Venuvan, the bamboo grove gifted to Buddha by King Bimbisara, followed by Vulture Peak (Gridhakut Hills), where Buddha delivered many important sermons. Explore the historic Bhimbisar Jail, believed to be the prison where King Bimbisara was held by his son.

Proceed to Nalanda, one of the world’s oldest universities and a great center of Buddhist learning. Explore the fascinating ruins of Nalanda University, which once attracted scholars from across Asia.

Day 3 Bodhgaya – Vaishali – Kushinagar

Early morning departure from Bodhgaya to Vaishali, an important Buddhist site where Lord Buddha delivered his last sermon.

In Vaishali, visit the historic Ashoka Pillar, believed to mark the site of the Buddha's final discourse. Explore the Ananda Stupa, built in honor of Buddha’s beloved disciple Ananda, and the Buddha Relic Stupa, which enshrines the sacred relics of the Buddha.

After the visit, continue the scenic drive to Kushinagar, the place where Lord Buddha attained Mahaparinirvana (final liberation).

Overnight: Kushinagar

Day 4 Kushinagar – Lumbini

Begin your day with a peaceful visit to the Mahaparinirvana Temple, which houses a reclining statue of Lord Buddha, marking the site of his final passing. Then visit the Ramabhar Stupa, the cremation site of the Buddha, set amidst tranquil surroundings.

After the morning visits, depart for Lumbini, located across the border in Nepal—revered as the birthplace of Lord Buddha.

Day 5 Lumbini – Shravasti

In the morning, visit the sacred Maya Devi Temple, the exact spot where Queen Maya Devi gave birth to Prince Siddhartha. Explore the Ashoka Pillar, erected by Emperor Ashoka to mark Lumbini as the birthplace of the Buddha and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

After the spiritual visits, depart for Shravasti, an important site in Buddhist history where Lord Buddha spent 24 rainy seasons and performed many miracles.

Day 6 Shravasti – Varanasi

Begin the day with a visit to the serene Jetavana Monastery (Jetvana Garden), one of the most famous Buddhist monasteries where Lord Buddha spent a significant part of his monastic life. Also visit the Angulimala Stupa, dedicated to the reformed dacoit who became a devoted follower of the Buddha.

After the morning sightseeing, depart for the spiritual city of Varanasi, one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world and a major center of Hindu and Buddhist traditions.

Overnight: Varanasi

Day 7 Varanasi – Sarnath – Bodhgaya

Start the day with a peaceful boat ride on the Ganges River to witness the mesmerizing sunrise over Varanasi’s ancient ghats, a truly spiritual experience. After breakfast, proceed to Sarnath, where Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon after enlightenment.

Visit the sacred Dhamek Stupa, marking the spot of the first sermon, the Mulgandha Kuti Vihar with its beautiful frescoes and Bodhi Tree replica, and the Chaukhandi Stupa, which commemorates the site where the Buddha met his first disciples.

In the afternoon, depart for Bodhgaya, completing the sacred pilgrimage circuit.

Day 8 Bodhgaya - Varanasi

After breakfast, check out from the hotel. Our representative will assist you with a comfortable transfer to Gaya Airport for your onward journey.
