The journey begins in Delhi, blending history and culture, followed by a visit to Agra, home to the iconic Taj Mahal. From there, proceed to Shravasti, where Buddha spent many monsoon seasons preaching to his disciples. Next, cross into Nepal to visit Lumbini, the sacred birthplace of Lord Buddha.
Continue the pilgrimage to Kushinagar, where Buddha attained Mahaparinirvana, and then to Bodhgaya, the site of his enlightenment under the Bodhi Tree. Explore the ancient centers of learning and spirituality in Rajgir and Nalanda, rich with Buddhist heritage and historical significance.
Finally, arrive in Varanasi, one of the world’s oldest living cities, where you can witness spiritual rituals on the ghats of the Ganges before concluding the tour back in Delhi. This pilgrimage is not just a tour—it’s a transformative experience for seekers, historians, and spiritual travelers alike.
Upon arrival at New Delhi Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative. You will be assisted with your transfer to the hotel. Check-in and relax after your journey.

After breakfast, begin your sightseeing tour of New Delhi. Visit the National Museum, which houses a rich collection of Buddhist artifacts and ancient relics. Continue to the iconic India Gate, a war memorial dedicated to Indian soldiers. Pay your respects at the Gandhi Memorial (Raj Ghat), the final resting place of Mahatma Gandhi. Later, visit either the serene Lotus Temple, known for its unique architecture and peaceful ambiance, or the grand Akshardham Temple, showcasing Indian culture and spirituality.
Note: Most New Delhi tourist sites remain closed on Monday. The itinerary may be adjusted accordingly.
Overnight: New Delhi
After an early breakfast, depart for Agra by road (approx. 3–4 hours). Upon arrival, visit the world-renowned Taj Mahal, a stunning symbol of eternal love and one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Later, explore the majestic Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that served as the residence of Mughal emperors.
Note: The Taj Mahal is closed on Friday. Sightseeing schedule may be adjusted accordingly.
Overnight: Agra
After an early breakfast, depart for Shravasti by road. This will be a long drive, so sit back and enjoy the scenic countryside of northern India. (Optional: A stop for lunch and refreshments will be arranged en route.)

After breakfast, visit the sacred Jetvana Garden, one of the most important monasteries where Lord Buddha spent many rainy seasons and delivered several sermons. Also, visit the Angulimala Stupa, associated with the reformed dacoit-turned-disciple of the Buddha.
After sightseeing, proceed to Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha, located across the border in Nepal. Complete immigration formalities at the India-Nepal border en route.

Begin your day with a visit to the sacred Maya Devi Temple, the exact birthplace of Lord Buddha. Explore the Ashoka Pillar, erected by Emperor Ashoka to mark this holy site. Spend time in the tranquil Lumbini Garden, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and visit various beautifully constructed international monasteries, each reflecting unique architectural styles from Buddhist nations around the world.

After breakfast, depart in the morning for Kushinagar, the sacred site where Lord Buddha attained Mahaparinirvana (final nirvana). Enjoy the scenic journey as you cross back into India.

Start your day with visits to the Ramabhar Stupa and the Mahaparinirvana Temple in Kushinagar, where Lord Buddha’s mortal remains were cremated. Then, proceed to Vaishali, an ancient city significant in Buddhist history. Here, explore the Ashoka Pillar, Ananda Stupa, and the Buddha Relic Stupa, sites associated with important events in Buddha’s life.
After sightseeing in Vaishali, continue your journey to Bodhgaya, the place where Lord Buddha attained enlightenment under the Bodhi Tree.

Spend the day exploring the sacred sites of Bodhgaya. Visit the magnificent Mahabodhi Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site built around the Bodhi Tree where Buddha attained enlightenment. Explore the serene Dhungesri Cave, where Buddha is believed to have meditated. Pay homage at the Sujata Stupa, dedicated to the village woman who offered Buddha milk-rice before his enlightenment. Finally, visit the towering Great Buddha Statue, an impressive modern landmark symbolizing peace and spirituality.

Enjoy a full-day excursion to the historic towns of Rajgir and Nalanda, both significant centers of ancient Buddhist learning and spirituality.
In Rajgir, visit the serene Venuvan (Bamboo Grove) where Buddha spent time teaching, the sacred Vulture Peak (Griddhakuta Hill) known for Buddha’s sermons, and Bhimbisar’s Jail, associated with the ancient king who later became a disciple of Buddha. Continue to Nalanda, home to the ruins of the world-famous ancient Nalanda University, one of the earliest residential universities and a major Buddhist center.

After breakfast, depart from Bodhgaya to Varanasi, one of the oldest living cities in the world and a major spiritual hub on the banks of the Ganges River.

Begin your day early with a serene boat ride on the Ganges River to witness the breathtaking sunrise and observe morning rituals along the ghats. In the evening, take a flight back to New Delhi.
