Tour Itinerary

Day 1 Local Sightseeing of Mumbai

Welcome to Vardhman's 'Same Day Mumbai Tour'! You will be Picked up from Airport / Hotel / Railway Station or anywhere in Mumbai and start your tour.

Gateway of India
The Gateway of India is Mumbai’s most recognized landmark, built in 1924 to commemorate the visit of King George V and Queen Mary. Overlooking the Arabian Sea, this 26-meter-high basalt arch blends Indo-Saracenic, Mughal, and Gothic styles of architecture. It also became historically significant when the last British troops left India from this point in 1948. Today, it is a bustling hub where tourists take boat rides to Elephanta Caves or simply enjoy the sea breeze while admiring the iconic Taj Mahal Palace Hotel nearby

Marine Drive
Popularly known as the “Queen’s Necklace” due to its glittering streetlights at night, Marine Drive is a 3.6 km boulevard along the Arabian Sea. This picturesque stretch is perfect for a leisurely drive, evening stroll, or simply relaxing by the promenade while watching the sunset. The sweeping arc of Marine Drive connects Nariman Point with Girgaum Chowpatty, making it a favorite spot for both locals and visitors.

Siddhivinayak Temple
Dedicated to Lord Ganesha, Siddhivinayak Temple is one of Mumbai’s most revered spiritual sites. Built in 1801, this temple attracts thousands of devotees daily, including celebrities and politicians. The idol of Lord Ganesha is carved from a single black stone, with His trunk turned to the right—considered especially auspicious. Tuesdays are particularly crowded as it is the day of Lord Ganesha, but the spiritual energy of the temple makes it a must-visit.

Colaba Causeway Market
Often called the “Culture Square of Mumbai,” Colaba Causeway is a vibrant street market offering everything from trendy clothes, jewelry, and accessories to antiques and handicrafts. It is also dotted with charming cafés and iconic eateries like Café Leopold and Café Mondegar, making it a great place for both shopping and food lovers. The bustling market atmosphere ensures visitors get a true taste of Mumbai’s lively spirit.

Haji Ali Dargah
One of Mumbai’s most famous landmarks, Haji Ali Dargah is a 15th-century mosque and tomb located on a tiny islet in the Arabian Sea. Built in memory of Pir Haji Ali Shah Bukhari, a wealthy merchant turned saint, the shrine is accessible only during low tide via a narrow causeway. With its striking white domes and Indo-Islamic architecture, it is not only a place of worship but also a symbol of communal harmony where people of all faiths come to seek blessings.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CST)
A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (formerly Victoria Terminus) is an outstanding example of Victorian Gothic Revival architecture in India. Completed in 1887, this railway station is still a bustling hub of daily commuters and long-distance trains. Its architectural grandeur includes a blend of Indian and European styles, with intricate carvings, stained glass windows, and a majestic central dome. For architecture lovers, this historic station is a visual delight and a must-see attraction.
