Day 1 Ahmedabad

Begin your tour.
Arrive into Ahmedabad.
Welcome to Vardhman's 'Best of Gujarat Tour !
On arrival in Ahmedabad Vardhman,s Representative will meet and greet and transfer to your prebooked hotel.
Later, proceed on to visit the Gandhi ashram, the Akshardham temple.

Day 2 Ahmedabad

Breakfast in the hotel.

Sightseeing in Ahmedabad includes visiting and exploring the beautiful mosques, manors, bazaars and the old walled city with its various pols.
One of the most beautiful mosques in western India, the superbly proportioned Jumma Masjid (1423 AD), is constructed in yellow sandstone and has 15 domes resting on approximately 250 columns of various heights. Its excellent workmanship and grand scale make it truly outstanding.
For a close look at old Ahmedabad, try the walking tour of the city that takes you through the ‘pols’ (byways and alleys) of the city, revealing crowded bazaars, ‘havelis’ (manors) with exquisitely carved house fronts and lavish courtyards. These tours are run daily from 8am to 10am starting at the Swaminarayan Temple, Kalupur.
Adalaj ni Vav (Step Well) is another interesting place to visit in Ahmedabad. A fine example of Indo-Islamic architecture Adalaj Step Well a five-storey step well and is the only step well in Gujarat, which has three entrance stairs that meet at the first storey, underground in a huge square platform.
Other places to see and visit in Ahmedabad include the Sabarmati Ashram where Gandhiji’s cottage "Hridaykunj", has been preserved much as he left it over 50 years ago; the intricately carved, white marble Hutheesing Jain Temple; the triple arched gateway Teen Darwaja; the elaborately carved wooden Swaminarayan Temple; the elegant architectural complex Sarkhej Roza, and the 34-sided Kankaria Lake

Day 3 Ahmedabad - Rajkot (about 225 kms)

After breakfast, drive to Rajkot.
On arrival at Rajkot, transfer to your prebooked hotel.
Rajkot is the 4th largest city in the state of Gujarat, India. It is located on the banks of the Aji River and Niari River. The tourism in the city is picking up owing to the fact that there are a number of places here that are worth visiting.
It was founded by Thakur Saheb Vibhaji Ajoji Jadeja of Jadeja clan in 1612 AD. Since then, it has been the seat of Jadeja rulers of India. Rajkot is also known for the reason that Mahatma Gandhi spent the early days of his life here only. He completed his education in one of the schools here. Apart from this, the city is famous for jewelry, silk embroidery and watch parts. It is also famous for its gold purity. Rajkot has one of the biggest gold markets of Gujarat, called Soni Bazaar. Places to visit are Hingolgadh Nature Education Sanctuary
The main tourist attractions in Rajkot are the Mahatma Gandhi House or Karba Gandhi No Delo, Watson museum, Aji Dam, Jagat Mandir, Rajkumar College, Lang Library, Lal Pari Lake and Randerda.

Day 4 Rajkot - Dwaraka (about 235 kms)

In the morning after having breakfast drive to Dwaraka.
In the evening arrive in Dwarka and drive to the hotel.
The city of Dwarka, renowned in myth and legend, was once the capital of Lord Krishna's empire. He is believed to have settled here, after leaving Mathura thousands of years ago. The site is undoubtedly ancient but its association with Lord Krishna gives it a sanctity that draws millions of pilgrims even today. It is one of the seven sacred cities or 'Sapta Puris' as well as one of the four 'dhams' - supreme pilgrim centers for the Hindus.
Adi Shankaracharya established the 'Dwarka Peeth' for spreading the message of the Hindu gospel 'Ramayana' in Dwarka. Dwarka has also been visited by; the great mystic Narsinh Mehta, Mirabai and the great saints Kabir and Nanak
Overnight: Dwarka

Day 5 Dwaraka - Porbandar (about 122 kms)

In the morning after breakfast at the hotel, you will visit the Dwarkadhish temple. After visiting the temple drive to Porbandar.
Later in the evening you will visit the Kirti Mandir in Porbandar.
Overnight: Probandar

Day 6 Porbandar - Somnath - Junagadh (about 217 kms)

In the morning drive to Somnath to visit the Somnath temple.
Visit the Somnath temple and later drive to Junagadh.
Arrive Junagarh and transfer to hotel.
Overnight: Junagarh

Day 7 Junagadh - Ahmedabad (about 315 kms)

In the morning you will visit the Mount Girnar.
Mount Girnar is one of the hills which is most sacred to the Jain community. After visiting these temples drive to Ahmedabad.
On arrival at Ahmedabad we will transfer you to airport or railway station for the onwards journey. Arrive home with wonderful memories of your tour with Vardhman Vacations
