Welcome to Vardhman's "Golden Temple Tour"!On arrival in Delhi, you will be met and transferred by Vardhman's representative to your hotel.
Rest for a while and then, proceed for a half-day visit to Gurudwara Sis Ganj, Gurudwara Bangla Sahib and Gurudwara Rakab Ganj.

Early in the morning drive to Chandigarh and upon arrival, check into your hotel.
Afternoon visit Parivar Vichorra, Anandpur Sahib - fortress temple situated on the left bank of the river Satluj founded by the ninth Sikh guru , Guru Tegh Bahadur. It was here that the Sikh religion acquired its final military character.
Later in the evening drive back to Chandigarh for an overnight stay in the hotel.

Morning proceed for the sightseeing tour of Chandigarh.
Visit the Museum , High Court , Assembly Chamber and Rock Garden.
Afternoon drive to Amritsar, situated on the north - western border of the country. The 400 years old city , founded by the fourth guru of the Sikhs , Guru Ramdas , has been the seat of the Sikh religion and culture from its very inception. It is renowned for the famous Golden Temple. Amritsar , literally - 'Pool of Nectar' , derives its name from the holy pond around the temple. The land for the pool was gifted by the Moghul Emperor Akbar.
On arrival, check in at hotel. Relax for the remaining part of the day.

Morning proceed for half-day tour of Amritsar City. Visit Jallianwala Bagh, Durgiana Temple, Mata Mandir, Ram Bagh etc.
Jallian Wala Bagh - This place noted for its most notorious massacre under British rule. It is 400 meters north of the Golden Temple. The British General Dyer was the Lieutenant Governor of the province in 1919. He banned all meetings and demonstrations led by Indians against the economical set back by World War I.
Durgiana Temple - The temple is dedicated to goddess Durga and dates back to 16th century. This Hindu temple also draws its share of visitors. A large temple is dedicated to Hindu deities Laxmi ( The Goddess of wealth) and Narayan. ( The Preserver of Universe ). All dignitaries visiting Golden Temple make it a point to visit Durgiana Temple also.
Mata Mandir - This Hindu temple situated at Rani ka Bagh , is similar to the Mata Vaishno Devi temple at Katra(Jammu). The temple draws a large number of devotees from far and near.
Ram Bagh - This beautiful garden is named as a tribute to Guru Ram Das, the founder of the city of Amritsar. It is situated in the new part of town and has a museum in the summer palace built by the Sikh Maharaja Ranjit Singh (1780-1839) the Lion of Punjab. The museum contains weapons dating back to Mughal times and some portraits of the ruling houses of the Punjab and a replica of the diamond 'Kohinoor'. To commemorate the memory of his valour Ram Bagh has a lively statue of Maharaja Ranjit Singh saddled on a horse. It's closed on Wednesdays.

Golden Temple : The Golden Temple or 'Hari Mandir', situated in Amritsar, Punjab, is the most sacred temple of the Sikhs.The site of the temple was sacred to the Sikhs since the time of the 4th guru, Ram Das. It is a symbol of the magnificence and strength of the Sikh people all over the world. All Sikh people tries to make a visit to the temple and take bath in holy tank of the temple.
Wagah Border : Less than 30 km from Amritsar city, Punjab, India is the only border crossing between India and Pakistan. Wagah Border is famous for its 'Retreat' ceremony at the time of sunset. During evening armed soldiers, both Indian as well as Pakistani, fully decked in their uniform enacts a particularly hostile parade marked by lowering of their respective flags and closing the border gates. The changing of the guards and the ceremonial lowering of the flags is carried out with great pomp and fervor. To enjoy a close look of the border you can be a part of the Nationalistically surcharged and frenzied atmosphere at Wagah, with people from both the sides of the border shouting slogans to bolster the morale of their respective country's army personnel. You can walk along the paved path to the main gates and take pictures of the crowd lining the pathway beyond the gate, before or after the ceremony.
