Along the way, you pass through Dhoor Village (2,500 m), where you can see breathtaking views of Nanda Kot (6,861 m), Maiktoli (6,803 m), and Panwali Dwar (6,663 m). The trail continues to Phurkiya (3,250 m), the last settlement before reaching Pindari Zero Point, offering spectacular glacier views.

Your safety is our top priority. All trek leaders are trained in first aid and mountain rescue. We carry first-aid kits and oxygen cylinders, and in case of serious health issues, we’ll arrange immediate evacuation to the nearest medical facility.

The weather in the Himalayas can change quickly. Our team constantly monitors conditions. If the weather turns bad, we may delay, modify, or descend to ensure everyone’s safety.
Q. Is there electricity or charging points available on the trek?
Electricity is available only at Khati Village. Beyond that, there are no charging facilities, so carrying a fully charged power bank is highly recommended.
Q. Will I get drinking water on the trek?
Yes, there are several freshwater streams along the route. You can refill your bottles at safe spots. We also recommend carrying water purification tablets or a portable filter for added safety.
Q. What if I am unable to complete the trek?
If you are unable to continue, our trek leader will arrange your safe return to the base camp. However, please note that no refund will be applicable in such cases as all arrangements are pre-planned.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1 Drive from Kathgodam to Khati Village (2,210 m) | 8–9 Hours

Your Pindari Glacier Trek begins early in the morning with a pickup from Kathgodam Railway Station at 6:30 AM. Enjoy a scenic drive through beautiful hill towns such as Bhimtal, Almora, Bageshwar, Kapkot, Bharadi, and Dhoor, before reaching Khati Village (2,210 m) by around 5:00 PM.

Khati is the last motorable village on this trekking route and is known for its warm hospitality and traditional Kumaoni culture. Upon arrival, check into a comfortable local homestay and relax after the long drive.

In the evening, enjoy a group dinner and interact with your trek leader, who will give a detailed briefing about the trek, challenges, and safety guidelines to prepare you for the adventure ahead.

Day 2 Trek from Khati Village to Dwali (2,850 m) | 13 km | 7–8 Hours

The real adventure begins today! After an early breakfast at 7:00 AM, start your 13 km trek to Dwali (2,850 m). The trail offers a pleasant mix of gentle climbs and forest walks, surrounded by lush oak and rhododendron trees, with the Pindar River accompanying you along the way.

The journey is long but refreshing, filled with fresh mountain air, birdsong, and stunning views at every turn. By 3:00–4:00 PM, you’ll arrive at Dwali, a peaceful stop nestled in the valley.

Check into a cozy guesthouse, enjoy a hot meal, and spend the evening relaxing amid the tranquil Himalayan surroundings, preparing for another exciting day ahead.

Day 3 Trek from Dwali to Phurkiya (3,250 m) | 5 km | 3–4 Hours

Today’s trek is short but scenic. After a relaxed breakfast, we begin our journey to Phurkiya (3,250 m) at 8:00 AM. The trail is mostly easy, passing through beautiful forested paths and mountain views, but the last 2 km involve a steep climb before reaching Phurkiya.

We’ll reach Phurkiya by midday, where a freshly cooked lunch awaits. The rest of the day is for rest and acclimatization, as we have now gained considerable altitude. Spend your evening breathing in the crisp mountain air, admiring the stunning Himalayan scenery, and preparing for the big day ahead.

Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at Phurkiya.

Day 4 Trek to Pindari Glacier Zero Point (3,660 m) and Back to Phurkiya | 16 km | 7–8 Hours

This is the most exciting and rewarding day of the trek! We start early at 5:00 AM to reach the Pindari Glacier Zero Point (3,660 m) by early afternoon. The 8 km trail is gradual but long, offering breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks and alpine landscapes all along the way.

On the route, we’ll stop for a short break at the ashram of Shri Swami Shraddha Nand Ji Maharaj, a serene spiritual retreat nestled in the Himalayas. As you approach Zero Point, the magnificent Pindari Glacier unfolds before you — surrounded by towering peaks like Baljuri (5,922 m), Nanda Kot (6,861 m), and Panwali Dwar (6,663 m).

Spend some peaceful moments at the glacier, soaking in the spectacular views and tranquil atmosphere. After enjoying your packed lunch, begin the return trek to Phurkiya, reaching back by early evening.

End the day with a hearty dinner and overnight stay at the guesthouse in Phurkiya.

Day 5 Trek from Phurkiya to Dwali to Khati Village (2,210 m) | 18 km | 8–9 Hours

After breakfast, we begin our return journey from Phurkiya to Dwali, and then continue trekking back to Khati Village (2,210 m). This 18 km descent takes you through the same scenic valleys and forests, offering a fresh perspective of the beautiful trails you trekked earlier.

We’ll stop for lunch at Dwali or enjoy packed meals along the way, depending on the group’s pace. By late evening, we reach Khati Village, where cozy homestays and friendly locals welcome us once again.

In the evening, enjoy a special farewell dinner with your trekking companions — a perfect way to celebrate the completion of your Pindari Glacier adventure.

Day 6 Drive from Khati Village to Kathgodam | 8–9 Hours

After breakfast, it’s time to bid farewell to the mountains and begin the drive back to Kathgodam. The journey takes you once again through the beautiful valleys and forested hills of Uttarakhand, offering one last look at the breathtaking Himalayan scenery.

Take this time to reflect on your incredible trekking experience and the unforgettable memories made along the way. We’ll reach Kathgodam by late afternoon, marking the end of the Pindari Glacier Trek — a journey filled with adventure, natural beauty, and lasting friendships.
