The Kafni Glacier Trek is a scenic and adventurous trail in the Bageshwar district of Uttarakhand. This moderately challenging trek takes you to an altitude of 3,860 meters, offering breathtaking views of snow-clad peaks, alpine meadows, and glacial streams.
The trek starts from Khati Village, following the same route as the Pindari Glacier Trek until Dwali. From Dwali, the trail splits and leads towards the stunning Kafni Glacier, passing through rugged mountain paths and landslide-prone areas. The route demands a good level of fitness and is best suited for trekkers with some prior experience.
As you move forward, you’ll reach Khatiya, where lush green meadows and serene landscapes surround you. The final destination, known as Zero Point, offers mesmerizing views of the glacier — the origin of the Kafni River, which later joins the Pindar River at Dwali. This journey provides an ideal opportunity to experience raw Himalayan beauty and challenge your trekking skills.
This trek is perfect for adventure seekers who wish to explore the hidden gems of the Kumaon Himalayas through well-organized trekking packages and guided tours.
