Beachfront Yoga & Ayurvedic Retreat Goa

Ayurveda is one of the world’s oldest holistic systems of healing, originating in India over 3,000 years ago. Rooted in the Atharva Veda, the last of the four Vedas, Ayurveda is founded on the principle of balance—within the body, mind, and spirit.

According to Ayurveda, everything in the universe, including the human body, is composed of five fundamental elements: Space, Air, Fire, Water, and Earth. These elements govern all physical and mental processes and form the foundation of health and well-being.

The Retreat Experience

True health exists when the mind, body, and spirit are in harmony with universal energy. When this balance is disturbed—by stress, emotional strain, injury, aging, seasonal changes, or lifestyle choices—dis-ease begins to manifest.

In the human body, the five elements combine to create three vital life forces known as Doshas:

  • Vata (Space & Air)
  • Pitta (Fire & Water)
  • Kapha (Water & Earth)

Each individual has a unique combination of these doshas, with one usually being dominant. When a dosha becomes imbalanced, it affects overall health. Ayurveda focuses on restoring harmony by rebalancing these doshas through therapies, nutrition, yoga, and lifestyle adjustments.

Yoga & Ayurveda: Two Paths, One Wisdom

Yoga and Ayurveda are complementary sciences—two branches of the same ancient wisdom—practiced together for centuries. At our retreat, experienced teachers guide you through daily yoga sessions including Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Yin, and Iyengar Yoga, supporting physical strength, flexibility, breath awareness, and mental clarity.

Personalized Ayurvedic Consultation

During your stay, you will receive a private consultation with our in-house Ayurvedic Doctor. The word Ayurveda comes from Sanskrit:

  • “Ayus” meaning life
  • “Veda” meaning knowledge

Together, Ayurveda is the science of life.

Your dominant dosha—Vata, Pitta, or Kapha—will be identified, and you will receive personalized guidance on:

  • Nutrition and dietary habits
  • Ayurvedic therapies and treatments
  • Lifestyle recommendations

This individualized approach supports your well-being during the retreat and provides tools you can carry forward into daily life.

Ayurvedic Therapies & Deep Rejuvenation

Ayurvedic Massages
Enjoy holistic, full-body Ayurvedic massages at a time of your choosing. Herbal oils are selected based on your dosha and physical needs to promote detoxification, relaxation, and rejuvenation.

Shirodhara Therapy
Re-center and restore with Shirodhara, one of Ayurveda’s most profound treatments. Shiro means head and Dhara means flow. Warm, herbal oil is gently poured in a continuous stream over the forehead, activating the Ajna Chakra—a vital center of intuition and pranic energy.

The rhythmic flow of oil calms the nervous system, balances emotions, stabilizes the mind, and induces a deeply meditative state—often described as more restorative than sleep. This therapy promotes profound mental clarity, emotional healing, and inner peace.
