Welcome to Vardhman's "Dehradun-Kempty Falls Trek"
On arrival in Dehradun, you will be met and transferred by Vardhman's representative to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.

Dehradun: The capital city of Uttarakhand, Dehradun is famous for its scenic grandeur and beautiful surroundings. Dehradun and its surrounding places are adorned with the beauty of the Himalayas. Located on the foothills of the Himalayan mountain range, Dehradun is a striking yet serene place. It is thought to be one of the oldest (read as ancient) cities in India.

Day 2 Dehradun-Mussoorie-George Everest

After breakfast, drive 35 kms to Mussoorie. On the way visit Malsi deer park.

Mussoorie: Popularly known as the 'Queen of hills' in India, the place seems like a 'virtual paradise' on earth. One of the most beautiful hill stations not only in Uttarakhand, but the whole of India. It is named after Mansoor, a shrub which is indigenous to this area. Lush green forests and lofty mountains adorn the scenic town. With a panoramic view of snow-capped mountain ranges in the north-east, and sparkling views of the Doon Valley and Shivalik ranges in the south, the hill resort offers its visitors real scenic delights.

Malsi Deer Park: It is located in the outskirts of Dehradun. One of the major tourist attractions in the city and also acts as a savior of natural environment from unnecessary business propositions. Malsi Deer Park is Zoological Garden based amidst the Himalayan vegetation and Shiwalik foothills.

After sightseeing of Mussoorie, drive 8 kms to George Everest. Reach and check into your camp.

Sir George Everest House: Park Estate is where the building and laboratory of the first Surveyor-General of India 1830 to 1843, Sir George Everest, after whom world's highest peak Mt. Everest is named, remains. [6]. It is 6 km from Gandhi Chowk and vehicle can go right up to the place. The place provides an enchanting view of Doon Valley on one side and view of Yamuna Valley and snowbound himalayan ranges on the other. An ideal place for picnic and trekking.

Day 3 George Everest -Jwala Devi-George Everest

After breakfast, trek 8 kms to Jwala Devi. Spend some time viewing the Himalayan peaks, Yamuna river, and the Mussoorie valley. Trek back to George Everest and check into your Camp for an overnight stay.

Jwalaji Temple (Benog Hill): Situated atop the Benog Hills, closer to the Benog Wildlife Sanctuary and 9 km west of Mussoorie. It is situated on the top of the Benog Hill surrounded by thick forest having an old idol of Goddess Durga provides a marvelous view of Yamuna Valley.

11 km to the south of library point lies an old sanctuary established in 1993 and covering an area of 339 hectares. It is famous for the extinct bird species Mountain Quail (Pahari Bater), which was last spotted in 1876.

Day 4 George Everest-Bhadraj Temple-George Everest

After breakfast, trek 12 kms to Bhadraj temple.

Bhadraj Temple: Situated on the extreme western region of Mussoorie town, this temple is dedicated to Lord Balbhadra, brother of Shri Krishna. About 15 km from Mussoorie, Bhadraj offers a commanding view of the Doon Valley and Chakrata ranges.

Spend some time feasting your eyes on the Shivalik ranges, Doon valley, Dakpather and Asan Barrage. Trek 12 kms back to George Everest. Relax for the remaining part of the day.

Day 5 Georgre-Everest-Kempty Falls-Mussoorie-Dehradun

After breakfast, trek 8 kms to Kempty Falls.

Kempty Falls: The Kempty Falls are a major attractions of Dehradun and Mussoorie. Set on the hilly terrains, the Kempty falls are stunningly beautiful. The water cascading down from an altitude of 4,500 feet and splitting further into five cascades, the water falls from a height of 40 feet giving the appearance of water jumping and playing on the rocks before falling down. This place was developed as a tourist destination by John Mekinan, after 1835. The name Kempty is derived from 'Camp-tea', as the Britishers would organise their tea parties here.Past Kempty Fall, 12-km downhill, on crossing the Aglar River, one reaches the legendary Yamuna River. Trout are in abundance here, and fishing permits can be obtained form the Divisional Forest Officer, Mussoorie. The falls are closed through winter and can be visited from the months of March through July.
