Dayasagar Ji Maharaj Nemi Nagar
Dayasagar Ji Maharaj Nemi Nagar Jain Tirth is an important and revered Jain pilgrimage site located in Banda town, near Sagar district, Madhya Pradesh, India. The tirth is well known for its spiritual sanctity, peaceful surroundings, and strong connection to the Jain monastic tradition. Devotees visit this sacred place to seek blessings, perform religious rituals, and experience inner peace through meditation and prayer.
The temple complex was established in the revered name of Acharya Shri 108 Nemisagar Ji Maharaj and was built through the blessings and guidance of his disciple, Acharya Shri 108 Dayasagar Ji Maharaj. The tirth stands as a symbol of the sacred guru–disciple lineage in Jainism and reflects the lifelong dedication of Jain Acharyas toward penance, discipline, and the spread of Jain dharma.
One of the major attractions of Nemi Nagar Jain Tirth is its beautifully designed Choubisi Mandir, which houses idols of all 24 Jain Tirthankars, each installed on a separate altar. This unique arrangement allows devotees to offer prayers and perform darshan of all Tirthankars at one holy place, making the tirth especially significant for comprehensive Jain worship.
Another distinctive feature of the temple is the Levitated Trikal Choubisi, representing the Tirthankars of the past, present, and future. This spiritually symbolic structure reflects the Jain concept of time and the eternal nature of dharma. In addition, the temple complex also includes a Navagraha Mandir, dedicated to the nine planetary deities, adding further religious and cultural importance to the site.
The Nemi Nagar Jain Tirth complex is well-maintained and equipped with facilities such as Jain dharmshala accommodations, a bhojanshala, and dedicated spaces for religious gatherings. Daily religious activities, including Shnatra Puja, Abhishek, pravachans, and bhakti sessions, are regularly conducted. The serene surroundings and disciplined spiritual environment make Dayasagar Ji Maharaj Nemi Nagar Jain Tirth an ideal destination for Jain yatras, religious retreats, and spiritual learning.
