Day 1 Arrive Bangalore - Shravanbelagola

Begin your tour.
Arrive Bangalore airport.
Welcome to Vardhman's "Karnataka Jain Tour". On arrival, Vardhman's representative will meet & greet you & then transfer to Shravanbelagola.
The statue of Gomateshwara or Bahubali, at Shravanabelagola is one of the most important Jain pilgrim centers. It reached a peak in architectural and sculptural activity under the patronage of Ganges of Talakad. There is a pond and two stony hills, called Chandragiri and Indragiri. Chandragiri has the Chandragupta basadi of the Gangasand the Parashwanathabasadi here is the biggest. The town below the hill has the Jainamatha whose walls have very old paintings. Shravanabelagola has over 500 inscriptions, and some of them are recording death by starving (`sallekhana') by Jaina ascetics and laymen.
Also visit Cave of Bhadrabahu where the sacred foot of Sritakavalli is worshipped. ManasthambhaBasadi, has a beautiful pillar constructed in 17th century.

Day 2 Shravanbelagola - Kanakgiri - Mysore - Gommatagiri - Sharavanbelagola

This morning drive to Mysore enroute visit Kanakgiri, Brindavan garden and Gommatagiri. In evening return back to Shravanbelgola.
Kanakgiri: This is an important Jain heritage centre. It is described in the ancient works as Hemanga Desha and to where Bhagawan Sri Mahavira (the 23rd Tirthankara of the Jain religion) visited the place in his sojourn or Sri Vihara in South India. The samavasarana (the religious discourse given by a Jain Tirthankara) is said to have been held here.
Brindavan Garden: The Brindavan Gardens is a garden located in the state of Karnataka in India. It lies adjoining the Krishnarajasagara dam which is built across the river Kaveri. The work on laying out this garden was started in the year 1927 and completed in 1932.Visited by close to 2 million tourists per year; the garden is one of the major attractions near the city of Mysore.
Gommatagiri: Gommatagiri is an acclaimed Jain centre. The 700-year-old statue of Bahubali (also known as Gomateshwara) is erected atop a 50 meter tall hillock called 'Shravana Gudda'. The statue of Gomateshwara at Gommatagiri is an early Vijayanagara creation in granite. The local Jains have a belief that the entire region was a bastion of Jainism at least since the 2nd Century BC.

Day 3 Halebidu - Dharmasthala - Venur - Moodbidri

This morning drive to Moodbidri enroute visit Halebidu, Dharmasthala & Venur.
Dharmasthala: It is known for its Dharmasthala Temple which houses the shrine of Shiva, Manjunatha, Ammanavaru, Chandranath and the Dharma Daivas (guardian spirits of Dharma) namely Kalarahu, Kalarkayi, Kumaraswamy and Kanyakumari. The temple is unusual in that it is run by a Jain administration and poojas are conducted by Hindu priests of Madhva order.
Venur: Venur though a small town was once a great seat of Jainism. It was the capital of the Ajila Dynasty and one of the most prominent Kings of them Thimmanna Ajila built a colossus of Gommateshwara 38 feet high in 1604 AD.

Day 4 Moodbidri - Karkala - Nallur - Survey - Udupi - Mangalore

This morning sightseeing of Moodbidri and then drive to Mangalore enroute visit Karkala, Survey & Udupi. Reach Mangalore and check in to hotel.
Moodbidri: It is a quaint temple town, better known as the 'Jain Kashi'. The Thousand Pillars Temple (Saavira Kambada Basadi) is a famous and holy shrine for Jains across the country. It also has Guru Basadi which houses the treasured Dhavala text. There are other Basadis: Ammanvara Basadi and Leppada Basadi. There are several Jain temples in Moodbidri.
Karkala: It is a town of historical importance and a pilgrim centre for Jains. Jainism is widely practised here. The single stone 41.5 feet (13 m) statue Gommateshwara (Lord Bahubali) is located about 1 km from the center of the town and is the second tallest in Karnataka . There are about 18 Jain basadis here. There are several other temples, mosques and churches in and around Karkala. Several jain temples were constructed namely Chaturmukha Thirthankara Basadi, Hiriyangaddi Neminatha Basadi, and Anekere Padmavathi Basadi.
Mangalore: It is called the Gateway of Karnataka and lies between the Arabian Sea and the Western Ghats. The various temples and buildings in Mangalore include the Mangaladevi temple, Kadri Manjunatha temple, St Aloysius Chapel, the Rosario Cathedral, Milagres Church and the Jama Masjid.
